Social Media In The Fitness Industry

Check out Robert Cappuccio, of PTA Global and PT On The Net, as he interviews me on Social Media at IHRSA 2011 in San Francisco. What do you think about social media in the fitness industry ? Let me, Bryan O'Rourke, know your thoughts. What is working for you ? I'll be presenting on the topic at FILEX 2011 this year. Hope to see you there.

Social media has overtaken print media as the conduit for 21st century and beyond communication . The surging and social Y generation has made a statement that communication and passions will be shared their way through the social media not print. Many individuals communicate via text and the social media outlets rather than over the phone. They find this method of expressing themselves and communicating preferable.

My fitness business depends on social media outlets as the preferred way for me to communicate to my members and for my members to communicate to me. Most importantly my members meet new friends and communicate with each other through social media. Social media is the new, word of mouth.
